Crypto.com becomes the official sponsor of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar!

FIFA has announced that Crypto.com will be an official sponsor of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Making them the only crypto platform to sponsor Qatar 2022. By this deal they hope to gain more awareness for their platform and crypto in general.

What is Crypto.com?

Crypto.com is a global cryptocurrency exchange, founded in 2016 and with more than 10 million customers and over 4000 employees working across America, Europe and Asia. The company’s main focus is on security, privacy and regulatory compliance for cryptocurrency. The ultimate goal is to accelerate the adoption of crypto.

Crypto.com has already sponsored several top sport teams, leagues, major events and locations around the world. The World Cup in Qatar is however, the icing on the cake. The reach is huge, cultures worldwide are watching and are influenced by this marketing.

FIFA’s director of marketing, Kay Madati responds as follows:

We are delighted that a global brand like Crypto.com is joining us as a sponsor of the exciting and groundbreaking FIFA World Cup in Qatar, ultimately helping to grow our beautiful sport on a global scale.”

Crypto.com will launch its official sponsorship of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 in different ways, offering new and existing users the chance to attend matches during the tournament or win exclusive merchandise.

Co-founder of Crypto.com, Kris Marszalek, states:

“We are very pleased to be sponsoring the FIFA World Cup, one of the most prestigious tournaments in the world, and to further raise the profile of Crypto.com worldwide. Through our partnership with FIFA, we continue to leverage our platform in innovative ways to help Crypto.com drive the future of elite sports and fan experiences around the world.”

Do you think mass adaption is coming? Will this sponsorship increase the usage of the crypto.com platform and thus the usage of its own cryptocurrency Cronos – CRO?
