YOM
YOM is a DePin platform that enables studios to build and host their own interoperable web3 content without needing coding skills. It uses cloud gaming and rewards nodes that provide the GPU power required. Let’s take a closer look at how this small cap coin is operating and what its future potential could be.
YOM profiles itself as the first decentralized cloud gaming network and metaverse that enables creators to build and host their own metaverse on their channels and websites (all in under one URL).
YOM provides the tools and infrastructure on Solana, and later on EVM-based blockchains as well, that allow you to craft and control your own custom web3 metaverse and social hub.
“White-label metaverses and entirely new entertainment formats at scale.”
A bold approach that tries to eliminate the need for dedicated game consoles like Xbox and PlayStation, as well as other conversion barriers such as Steam and the Apple Store. An all in one platform where users are fully immersed and in theory don’t need to leave YOM to find it all.

YOM wants to enable projects, named as studios, brands or broadcasters, that want to host their immersive streams completely run by high-performance gaming PCs turned into nodes.
Supported by a creator kickback program, YOM incentivizes projects to create and deploy their content on their network with ease and create workloads for the nodes and a demand for the tools and network that allow studios and brands to save costs and time.
They then deliver these experiences to end-users via any channel (e.g., app, site, broadcaster), retaining full ownership and control over their content and IP.
The team at YOM is making strides in innovation and redefining industry standards. This dynamic group is led by CEO Andrew Pringle, whose vision for the future drives the company forward. Alongside him, Jeff Outlaw, the CXO, enhances customer experiences, ensuring that they are as groundbreaking as their technology.
Jorrit Velzeboer, the CTO, spearheads technological advancements, while Rohan Solanki, a senior full-stack developer, and Jorn Veen, a specialist in C++/SDK, build the core software products. Patrique Janssen focuses on automating processes, further enhancing efficiency and productivity.
In the realm of partnerships and operations, Daniel van der Waals and Vanessa Spencer respectively ensure that the company not only grows its business relationships but also maintains a strong, supportive community. Creative directions are navigated by Ben Millar, who ensures that each project is presented with flair and creativity.
For anyone that wants to build, but doesn’t have any clue how to begin, because they simply can’t code, YOM has you covered. With their Unreal Engine 5 (UE5) you can build no-code multiplayer experiences which are directly accessible from any location—whether it’s an app, site, or platform—across every device.
A feature that shows creators how to bring their visions to life without the need for extensive coding knowledge. Directly integratable with real-time data, AI, digital twins, custom triggers, eCommerce, platforms, blockchain, and live motion capture devices.
Deploying your Unreal Engine project on YOM involves two main steps:
“The YOM SDK (Software Development Kit) within Unreal Engine 5 provides a comprehensive suite of development tools.”
All assets and analytics remain under the control of the IP owner, from 3D items and worlds to data streams and the management of delivery channels. This complete ownership means that projects can always maintain control over their content and its distribution and can start monetizing on their terms.
The studio, gaming, NFT, or brand will reap substantial benefit by subscribing to YOM, which is approximately 90% cheaper than traditional, centralized providers, such as Amazon for example, while controlling the monetization of their content.
YOM introduces a new approach to the DePIN narrative, as they offer a Decentralized Passive Income Network, that promises up to 480% APY with a guaranteed minimum payout of 72% to licensed gaming rig owners. Even if a gaming rig is not actively streaming game sessions, YOM guarantees a 15% minimum payout for the time the machine is on standby, ready for incoming connections.
This means that if they share their rigs with the network, they can earn more as they handle more connections, with top nodes supporting up to 8 connections simultaneously. An innovative approach that uses a network of idle gaming machines to provide streaming services globally. Pixel streaming refers to this method of video streaming.
YOM employs AI algorithms to dynamically upscale streaming output, which ensures low-latency and high-resolution gameplay across different devices.
Participating as a node operator within YOM’s Decentralized Pixel Streaming Network requires a plug-and-play setup for operating software but does require specific hardware requirements. Here are the essentials you need to ensure your gaming PC is ready to handle the demands:

YOM issues nodes in the form of NFTs during scheduled node sale rounds. These can be redeemed for hardware when the public launch of the network begins. The base price for a node is set at $999.
Currently it is not yet possible to be a node for the YOM network. More info will soon follow…
The total token supply is 300 million YOM tokens, built on the Solana protocol.
YOM can, as said previously, be earned by sharing your computer to the network, allowing it to perform “work” for partners. This requires owning a license and staking some amount in your node, signaling reliability to the network.
There are burning mechanics. Specifically, 2.5% of all YOM tokens used for streaming minutes are burned until a daily token circulation threshold of 0.25% is reached. This mechanism helps stabilize the ecosystem and supports upward price momentum.
YOM is deflationary. It’s impossible to mint more tokens, and several mechanisms are in place within the tokenomics of the nodes to burn tokens.
30% of the total supply (90 million tokens) is allocated for token sales, divided into Seed, Private, and Public rounds.
The majority of the token sale allocation is reserved for the Private round (71 million tokens).
Marketing and Foundation each receive a significant portion of the token supply at 26.67% (80 million tokens) each. Smaller allocations are made for Liquidity Providers (6.67%), Advisors (3.33%), and the Team (6.67%).
“YOM does not represent any shareholding or participation in any company or undertaking, nor does it entitle holders to any promise of fees, dividends, revenue, profits, or investment returns.”
Studios, brands, and broadcasters purchase their time to power their streams, this begins at $0.32 per user per hour. Purchases will be made directly by fiat paid to purchase YOM tokens directly from the market. A crucial step to link every new studio lead directly to the demand for YOM tokens.
Once YOM is bought with the fiat collected from game studios, it is allocated in the following manner:
A particularly interesting aspect of the YOM Reward Model is the burning of tokens whenever a node operator claims their rewards. Specifically, a fixed fee of $150 in YOM is burned.
YRX is a soul-bound token that plays a crucial role in rewarding community participation within the YOM ecosystem. It is designed as the core of YOM’s governance model.
Community members can earn YRX through various contributions to the network, these include:
With an estimated 3.32 billion active video gamers worldwide, and an industry value projected at $282 billion, gaming surpasses the combined markets of movies and music.
Could it be that if cloud gaming capitalized even a little bit it would become very big? On top of that, the central server model has proven itself costly and inefficient due to high hosting costs and latency issues, another thing that YOM tries to solve.
If we compare similar projects we see that YOM has the smallest market cap at $5.9M, which is 10 times smaller than the next project GHX at $57M. Of course this is all speculation and no financial advice, but there is a lot of room to grow.
The other DeFi projects shown, in order of increasing market cap, compared to YOM are:
That being said, the YOM Reward Model structure ensures that more subscriptions lead to increased demand and reduced supply of YOM, theoretically leading to an increase in its value. So fun times could be coming. But overall, the success of YOM as a token and infrastructure builder will depend on its ability to attract a strong user base and on how many agencies and creators are attracted to the platform.
YOM has introduced the first decentralized network that enables AAA games to be played on any screen and utilizes a GPU network to offer superior cloud gaming infrastructure, both economically appealing and environmentally conscious.
Beyond gaming, YOM foresees the evolution of the 3D internet, where game engines will power not just virtual and augmented reality but also digital commerce and socialization. A place where IP holders might create AI avatars for fan interaction, while brands could develop engaging 3D content that serves both marketing and entertainment purposes.
Whether you are a brand, consumer, or gamer, YOM offers a compelling vision of the digital landscape that is worth exploring.
