As the world’s first zero knowledge DA layer and provable database, Orochi Network offers more than one might think when hearing all these difficult terms. It can tailor secure data for anyone who wants it, but focuses more on being used by gaming platforms that want to generate blockchain aspects in their high throughput games.
Let’s take a look at what Orochi Network has to offer for the broader blockchain network.
Orochi Network is the pioneering zero-knowledge modular data availability layer (zkMDAL) that addresses critical challenges such as computation limitations, data correctness, data availability, and scalability in the whole Web3 ecosystem. In this way, it can be used for:
Supported by grants of prominent blockchain technologies like Ethereum and Mina Protocol, Orochi is has its eyes not only set on the blockchain space. It also offers solutions to AI/ML technologies and various Web3 applications across any blockchain platform, whether it operates on EVM or a non-EVM framework.
The key members of the Orochi Network team include:

At the heart of Orochi Network lies the Zero-Knowledge Data Availability Layer (zkDA Layer). A system that leverages the power of Zero-Knowledge Proofs (ZKPs) to create high-performance ‘data pipelines’ for Zero-Knowledge Applications and smart contract platforms. Let’s dive into their specifics.
The zkDA Layer is Orochi’s core product and represents an innovation in the field because it allows zkApps, dApps, and smart contract platforms to access an unlimited number of off-chain states securely and verifiably.
This layer is pivotal in bridging the gap between on-chain and off-chain data.
Orochi’s zkDatabase leverages the technology from the zkDA Layer and zkMemory (which we will discuss after this), and uses them to offer a verifiable way to manage off-chain data that can be independently checked by any party.
It is by doing this that developers won’t need to worry about the complexities of data management and zero-knowledge proofs, because Orochi does this for them.
zkMemory is the framework within the Orochi Network that is designed for creating zero-knowledge virtual machines (zkVMs) and serves as the universal memory prover in Zero-Knowledge Proof that they use. Since its launch, the zkMemory paper has been downloaded over 1,000 times and has undergone two major updates.
zkMemory is proof-system agnostic, meaning it can work with a variety of different proof systems, including zk-SNARKs, zk-STARKs and other future technologies.
The modular design of zkMemory enables support for arbitrary instruction sets through the use of an instruction set emulator. This means that developers can build zkVMs, whether for gaming, finance, or other specialized applications.
The Orand project is a service from the Orochi Network designed to provide a trustless source of randomness for your smart contracts. It’s built specifically to support applications that require fairness in random number generation, making it ideal for gaming ecosystems, lotteries, and other decentralized applications.
It uses Elliptic Curve Verifiable Random Function (ECVRF) technology which makes the randomness generated deterministic, verifiable, and unable to be manipulated, based on the cryptographic properties of elliptic curves.
Orocle is a decentralized oracle service that provides secure, reliable real-world data to blockchain networks and AI applications. In December 2024, Orochi Network formed a strategic partnership with OG Labs to integrate Orocle for improving data reliability within OG’s AI ecosystem.
Orochi Network offers three pricing plans tailored for different stages of business growth. The Starter Plan ($60/mo), The Growth Plan ($110/mo), and Business Plan ($200/mo).
Orosign is a self-managing mobile app designed to enhance the security and management of digital assets. It is a kind of multisignature wallet that requires multiple private keys to authorize a transaction.
A 2-out-of-3 multisig wallet setup allows for secure transactions between two parties with a third-party arbitrator available to resolve disputes. Ideal for organizations.

RAMenPaSTA by Orochi Network is their latest development where the challenges of how quickly and efficiently data can be processed and verified are being solved. For a detailed explanation, check out their RAMenPaSTA paper.
This means that instead of processing data sequentially, multiple data points can be processed simultaneously.
Conditional Folding Scheme
The conditional folding scheme is a core component of RAMenPaSTA. It removes the need to connect the output of one computation directly to the input of the next sequentially. By doing so, it allows for more efficient data folding and aggregation, enabling parallel data processing. This is also mentioned in the video above.
In practical terms, RAMenPaSTA can be used to build zero-knowledge virtual machines (zkVMs) on blockchain platforms. These zkVMs can run RAM programs efficiently in a verifiable manner without revealing any underlying data about the computations.
RAMenPaSTA provides several security and verification advantages. First, it is designed to be non-interactive, which reduces potential for interference or tampering during verification. Second, it does not require a trusted setup, which enhances security against potential vulnerabilities associated with setup processes.
The Orochi Ecosystem is not limited to the Web3 sector and has made inroads into traditional industries such as finance, fintech, banking, healthcare, and AI/ML. Some of the projects that could benefit by using Orochi are:
The Orochi Ecosystem encompasses a variety of blockchain solutions, each tailored to specific needs within the Web3 space. Here are some key components:
Besides its core offerings, Orochi wants to focus on improving the web 3 gaming world, where players often encounter scalability issues during peak times, leading to slow gameplay and even service outages.
This could mean transaction delays for in-game purchases and actions, which can be more than frustrating. Also, there is a need to protect sensitive data of in-game transactions, such as holdings of digital assets in games where players have real ownership and control over their virtual assets.
It is by using zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs) that players can verify their asset compliance in games without revealing sensitive details. Think of card games where ZKPs could check that a player’s deck meets game requirements without exposing the cards themselves.
In play-to-earn models, ZKPs can validate players’ achievements without revealing their entire gameplay data. This helps prevent exploitation and ensures that rewards are distributed fairly.
As of January 18, 2025, Orochi Network has not yet issued its token, $ON. However, the project has been discussing potential tokenomics strategies for their future token launch.
The Orochi Network has outlined several potential use cases for their $ON token:
It’s important to note that Orochi Network has explicitly stated that they have not yet issued a token. Potential investors should be cautious of any claims about $ON tokens currently in circulation and verify information through official channels to avoid potential scams.
Orochi Network announced “the largest airdrop of Orochi Network is on @Bybit_Web3 Airdrop Arcade now 🐉.” This event features a substantial airdrop pool of 250,000 $ON running from December 23, 2024, to January 23, 2025. Participants can claim their share by visiting the designated Bybit.
You can participate in the Orochi Network Airdrop on Bybit!
With a good 2024 and the biggest token airdrop events via Bybit, Orochi broadened the integration of their core offerings, Orand and Orocle, to over 40 chains supporting more than 120 dApps.
Their advancements in decentralized random number generation with Orand could mean a good start for 2025, where the launch of the $ON token and the testnet rollout of the zkDA Layer could be interesting developments.
To contribute to the Orochi Network, you can engage with its ‘Contribute to Earn‘ campaign, which rewards users for meaningful contributions with X-ORO Beta tokens, NFTs, and other exclusive benefits.
While data plays a crucial role in all computational processes, particularly in the emerging Web3 era and gaming, it could mean success (if used by developers) for the Orochi Network.
As zero-knowledge technology becomes more integrated into the gaming industry, we can expect blockchain games to become faster, more affordable, and more accessible.
