Namelijk met zijn non-profit organisatie <a href=\"https:\/\/water.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Water.org<\/a> die hij in 2009 oprichtte. Met deze stichting hoopt hij de watercrisis wereldwijd uit te bannen.<\/p>\n<h2>Het Matt Damon Crypto.com-partnerschap<\/h2>\n<p>De bekende cryptobeurs Crypto.com heeft gedoneerd aan de stichting van Matt Damon, en niet zomaar een bedrag. De beurs doneerde een bedrag van $1 miljoen. Hij richtte de stichting Water.org op in samenwerking met Gary White, die de stichting runt als CEO.<\/p>\n<p>De donatie van Crypto.com gaat naar het verstrekken van schoon water en schoonwatervoorzieningen (zoals leidingen, kranen en douches) aan mensen in gebieden die dit het meest nodig hebben. Denk bijvoorbeeld aan mensen in gebieden in Afrika.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Crypto.com en Water.org werken allebei aan een positieve transformatie, en onze innovatieve, financi\u00eble oplossingen zullen levens en de wereld helpen veranderen&quot;, zegt Matt Damon in een offici\u00eble verklaring die hij heeft vrijgegeven over het nieuwe partnerschap. &quot;Naarmate onze financi\u00eble oplossingen en platforms evolueren, kunnen we ze voorgoed gebruiken&quot;, zei hij ook.<\/p>\n<p>Donaties aan goede doelen in de vorm van crypto worden steeds populairder. Vooral tijdens de situatie rond Afghanistan een paar weken terug kwamen er verschillende situaties naar boven waar het mogelijk was om te doneren in de vorm van crypto. Momenteel worden cryptodonaties gebruikt om geld in te zamelen voor zelfmoordpreventie, ethische journalistiek en zelfs een wereldwijd basisinkomen.
