Volgens DNB opereert Binance illegaal in Nederland. Na een paar keer negatief in het nieuws te zijn geweest, is het nu weer zover: Volgens de DNB (De Nederlandsche Bank) zou Binance illegaal opereren in Nederland. Mogelijk gaat DNB actie ondernemen tegen Binance, maar daarover kan de woordvoerster nog geen mededelingen doen. Volgens DNB doen Nederlandse burgers die gebruik maken van de cryptodiensten van Binance niets verkeerd. Dit gaat puur over het feit dat Binance in strijd handelt met de wet. Wel lopen ze volgens de toezichthouder mogelijk een verhoogd risico om betrokken te raken bij witwassen of terrorismefinanciering.<\/p>\n

Om verder uit te leggen:
\nBinance handelt in strijd met de WWFT (Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Act), door illegaal (1) diensten aan te bieden voor het wisselen tussen virtuele valuta en fiduciaire valuta, en (2) portemonnees te storten.<\/p>\n

Als je nieuwsgierig bent naar welke cryptodiensten onder toezicht staan van DNB, kun je dat hier zelf uitzoeken. Omdat het in het Nederlands is, moet je misschien een vertaaltool gebruiken.<\/p>\n

Iets dat al enige tijd bekend is, is het feit dat Binance er alles aan doet om onder controle te komen. Het bedrijf is bijvoorbeeld officieel gevestigd op de Kaaimaneilanden. Er is een kantoor in Singapore, maar ze hebben geen officieel hoofdkantoor. Volgens oprichter Changpeng Zao (CZ) komt dit doordat Binance decentraal opereert, net als de munten die op het platform kunnen worden verhandeld.<\/p>\n

DNB is niet de eerste toezichthouder die nu optreedt tegen Binance. Vorige maand zei de Consob (toezichthouder van Italiaanse beurzen) al dat wat Binance doet niet mag. Naast witwassen wordt het bedrijf ook verdacht van medewerking aan belastingontduiking. Binance ontkent dit echter.<\/p>\n

De reden waarom DNB nu pas met een uitspraak komt, is omdat DNB de zaak eerst zelf grondig moest onderzoeken. Binance laat in een reactie weten dat het bedrijf in de toekomst goedkeuring hoopt te krijgen van DNB. Het bedrijf voegt eraan toe dat het over instrumenten en procedures beschikt om het witwassen van geld en de financiering van terrorisme tegen te gaan.<\/p>\n

Alternatieve uitwisselingen<\/h3>\n

Binance blijft voorlopig een goede beurs met een handelsvolume van $30 miljard per dag. Het is dus handig om een Binance-account aan te maken. Als je hierin ge\u00efnteresseerd bent, kijk dan eens hier<\/a>.<\/p>\n
