De laatste tijd staat de stablecoin TerraUSD (UST) steeds meer onder de aandacht. Do Kwon, Stablekwon op Twitter, deelt namelijk erg openbaar die ontwikkelingen en beslissingen die gemaakt worden rondom de stablecoin van het grote cryptobedrijf Terra, dat ook verantwoordelijk is voor de cryptocurrency LUNA.<\/p>

Zo werd bekendgemaakt dat, naast Luna, ook Bitcoin en Avalanche toegevoegd zijn aan de backing achter de stablecoin. Onder andere dit heeft ervoor gezorgd dat de stablecoin flink in grootte is gestegen, en nu zelfs Binance USD \u2013 BUSD<\/a> heeft ingehaald in market cap. Daarmee is UST op dit moment de 3e grootste stablecoin die er is.<\/p>

De groei van UST<\/h2>

Wanneer de kluis van TerraUSD, die op dit moment dus bestaat uit LUNA, BTC en AVAX, groeit, worden er nieuwe UST\u2019s gemint. Dit betekent dus dat naarmate de kluis groeit, de stablecoin groeit en indirect dat naarmate de cryptomarkt groeit, de TerraUSD stablecoin groeit.<\/p>

De afgelopen dagen is de market cap van UST met maar liefst 15,2% gegroeid. Erg veel dus. Zeker wanneer je het vergelijkt met een aantal andere stablecoins die hoog in de rank staan. Zo steeg de market cap van Tether (USDT) met 2,5%, waar de market cap van USD Coin (USDC) daalde met 5,7%. Waar TerraUSD deze maand flink steeg, daalde \u2018concurrent\u2019 Binance USD met 2,5%, waardoor UST nu plek 3 in de lijst met grootste stablecoins inneemt.<\/p>

De stap naar plek 2 is nog best groot. USDC, dat op dit moment op plek 2 staat, is namelijk nog ruim 2,5 keer zo groot als UST. Daarnaast is deze beschikbaar op bijna 6 keer zoveel beurzen als UST. Er is dus nog zeker veel ruimte voor groei voor TerraUSD. Zeker het feit dat Do Kwon hier zo open over is, maakt het erg interessant. Hier kunnen we namelijk allemaal veel van leren.
