'Regulering en crypto'; Het blijkt voor elk land een lastige kwestie. Het ene land kiest ervoor om crypto als alledaags betaalmiddel te gebruiken<\/a>, en waar een ander land het volledig verbiedt. Na China leek ook de politieke grootmacht Rusland een volledig verbod op crypto toe te staan.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

De Russische centrale bank is absoluut geen fan van crypto. Dit blijkt uit een rapport dat ze hebben uitgebracht over alles wat met digitale valuta te maken heeft. Hieruit bleek niet alleen dat ze er geen fan van zijn, maar ook dat ze crypto liever helemaal zouden verbieden.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Judgement Day<\/h5>\n

Daarom heeft de Russische regering en de Bank van Rusland hierover samen gezeten om het cryptocurrency-probleem<\/em> te bespreken. Moet cryptocurrency nu verboden worden of niet? Nu is de beslissing gevallen. In Rusland blijft crypto legaal. Het wordt erkend als een echte valuta en niet als een digitaal financieel actief. Dat meldt de Kommersant, \u00e9\u00e9n van de grootste Russische kranten.<\/span><\/p>\n

Een offici\u00eble verklaring van de partijen zelf is nog in behandeling, maar tegen 18 februari zal een wetsvoorstel worden opgesteld waarin alles wat met crypto te maken heeft, wordt beschreven.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Er is echter een kanttekening bij het verhaal. Juridische handel in cryptocurrency is alleen mogelijk in Rusland als men volledig ge\u00efdentificeerd bent - KYC'd. Op deze manier weet de Russische overheid wie er handelt en wat er gebeurt op de Russische cryptomarkten. Wat in veel andere landen niet het geval is.<\/span><\/p>\n

Eerder was er ook al sprake van een mogelijk verbod op cryptocurrency mining in Rusland. Maar hierover werd niets aangekondigd, we zullen dus nog even rustig moeten afwachten\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n
