‘Bitcoin only stronger after Chinese ban’

The regulation around Bitcoin, and cryptocurrency in general, is increasingly a major topic of discussion in global politics today. In China in particular, they are very strict around Bitcoin, for example, it was recently announced again that China is banning Bitcoin.

Many people see this as a danger to Bitcoin. Those people do not include Edward Snowden. The former CIA employee, who is known for revealing secret spying activities of the NSA (National Security Agency), let it be known in a tweet that he thinks Bitcoin has only become stronger because of it.

Snowden’s opinion on Bitcoin

In his tweet, Edward Snowden referred back to an earlier tweet. Namely, a tweet he posted on March 13, 2020, when we were in the early days of the corona crisis. In that tweet, he indicated that it was the first time in a long time that he was thinking about buying Bitcoin again, because he found the drop of that time inexplicable.

In the new tweet, which he posted on October 4, 2021, he indicates that he does think back to how many people actually bought Bitcoin back then. ‘It’s up ~10x since, despite a coordinated global campaign by governments to undermine public understanding of – and support for – cryptocurrency’.

So he indicates that Bitcoin has posted tremendously strong results, despite governments not being happy with it. According to him, this says something about the power it actually has. China even banned it, but it just made Bitcoin stronger,” are the words with which Snowden ends his tweet.

So Snowden sees a bright future for Bitcoin. Do you also believe in Bitcoin and want to invest in the future? You can! Use this link and buy your first Bitcoin from Binance in just a few minutes!
