Bitvavo hosts wallets for every cryptocurrency on their platform. This means you have the ability to store your cryptocurrency in the comfort of your own account. Thereby eliminating the need to create an external wallet for each specific coin.

Where can I find the address of my wallet?
Your cryptocurrencies are stored on the blockchain and deposited in your wallet address. This address is personal and used to receive cryptocurrency into your account.
You can find the deposit address of your digital currency by following the simple steps below:
- Log in to your Bitvavo account.
- Navigate to your preferred cryptocurrency where you want to know the (deposit) address of and select it.
3. Click on the ‘Deposit’ button.
4. After this, the deposit address of your Bitvavo wallet will be displayed.
You can easily copy the address by using the copy button. Click on the copy button, the address will be automatically copied. All you need to do is to paste it in the required field (Ctrl/Cmd + v).
Cryptocurrencies run on different blockchains and can have different wallet addresses!
Be sure to check the address with each transaction.
Sending crypto to a wrong address is one of the most common ways of losing money!
Always double check the receiving address.
Why hasn't my cryptocurrency arrived in my Bitvavo wallet?
We take a look at possible reasons (3) your beloved cryptocurrencies have not yet arrived into your Bitvavo wallet.
1. In process
The transaction is in process and has already been confirmed one or several times by the relevant blockchain network. Depending on how many confirmations Bitvavo requires, the cryptocurrency will be credited to your account after a few minutes to maximum a few hours.
2. Inspection
Bitvavo monitors all deposits and withdrawals. This notification is usually short-lived. If this message persists, please contact the support department by sending an e-mail to support@bitvavo.com.
3. Approved
The cryptocurrency has arrived and has been credited to your Bitvavo wallet. You have normally also received a confirmation e-mail.
Other causes
In case the cryptocurrency still did not arrive successfully, one of the following reasons could explain why;
- You have sent cryptocurrencies that are not supported by the Bitvavo wallet. Be sure to check the supported cryptolist above.
- Some cryptocurrencies require you to provide an additional description (This is the case for; EOS, NEM, STEEM, XLM and XRP). Maybe you forgot to include this transaction ID/tag.
- You have paid too little fees, meaning your transaction is not (yet) included in a block.
If your cryptocurrency has not been credited to your Bitvavo wallet, within a hours and this is not due to one of the above reasons, please contact the support department by sending an e-mail to support@bitvavo.com.
Can I control the private keys of my Bitvavo wallet?
You can’t control your private keys of a specific cryptocurrency, because Bitvavo works with hosted wallets.
