Cosmos: 3 Promising Blockchains on Cosmos

Cosmos is an ecosystem of blockchains that can scale and interoperate with each other. Each is powered by BFT consensus algorithms like Tendermint consensus (which is 20x the faster than Ethereum).

Cosmos solves scalability issues and enables blockchains to communicate with each other as a decentralized network of independent parallel blockchains, with its native token that is called the ATOM. Similarly as ETH for Ethereum.

Today we take a look at the most promising blockchains on Cosmos and why they could host a lot of interesting projects.

What is Juno?

Juno is a global, open source, permission-less network for decentralized interoperable applications. A cross-chain smart contract hub for the Cosmos Ecosystem where anyone can create & use inter-chain applications on Juno.

The network is governed by delegators, who vote in changes via on-chain governance. All network processes are fueled by JUNO, the native utility asset of the network.  The ecosystem is pioneering CosmWasm on December 15th 2021, allowing developers to deploy secure & robust inter-chain smart contracts in Rust.

What is Osmosis?

Osmosis is an advanced automated market maker – AMM protocol that allows developers to build customized AMMs with sovereign liquidity pools. The pool governance process allows them to adjust the parameters depending on the pool’s competition and market conditions. Built using the Cosmos SDK, Osmosis utilizes Inter-Blockchain Communication – IBC to enable cross-chain transactions.

Whereas most Cosmos zones have focused their incentive scheme on the delegators, Osmosis attempts to align the interests of multiple stakeholders of the ecosystem such as LPs, DAO members, as well as delegators. With a total value locked of 167 million and a daily volume of 13,4 million dollars.

What is Evmos?

Evmos is a scalable, high-throughput Proof-of-Stake – POS blockchain that is fully compatible and interoperable with Ethereum. It’s built using the Cosmos SDK which runs on top of the Tendermint Core consensus engine.

Evmos allows for running vanilla Ethereum as a Cosmos application-specific blockchain. This allows developers to have all the desired features of Ethereum, while at the same time, benefit from Tendermint’s PoS implementation.

Evmos is a Huge and Promising Network that raised $27M in the Token Sale last week.
